Band Members


They started in 2001 in Newark, New Jersey, with the band formed by Gerard, Mikey, Ray, & Matt. Frank joined later on, and they first signed onto Eyeball Records to release I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002. Then, they signed onto Reprise Records the next year, & they released Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004, which became a huge success. They also had Matt the drummer replaced by Bob Bryar. They released The Black Parade in 2006, which became even more popular than the last album. In March 2010, Bob ended up departing from the band. Later on in November, they released their 4th album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. In 2012, they released Conventional Weapons, which is a series of singles recorded in 2009. They had their 1st breakup in March 22nd, 2013. After that, in March 2014, they put out a greatest hits album with a single “Fake Your Death”. In 2016, they released a 10th anniversary album of The Black Parade, with demos & live versions on it. From 2013 to 2017, all 4 band members have made solo projects. Gerard made his album Hesitant Alien, Frank made Death Spells and Frank Iero & the Violents, Ray made his album Remember the Laughter, and Mikey was in Electric Century. They reunited privately in 2017, & reunited on October 31st, 2019, by posting onto social media about their reunion tour. They performed in Los Angeles on December 20th, 2019 for one show. They did plan on having the tour, but it has been delayed 2 times due to Covid-19. In 2022, they have now toured several times, with their big tour during the summer and fall.
